Burnout is heavy. Restlessness, guilt and shame. Burnout is restless because there is a great need to keep going, doing, and reaching the expectation of someone, whether from self, others or God. Guilt is heavy on the shoulders. A sense of not good enough in the doing, and needing to do better. Shame is connected because burnout makes one want to hide, withdraw and not to be seen.
