Psalm 25:4-5 musings…

September 11, 2019

‘Lord, direct me throughout my journey so I can experience your plans for my life. Reveal the life-paths that are pleasing to you. Escort me along the way; take me by the hand and teach me. For you are the God of my increasing salvation; I have wrapped my heart into yours!’

Psalms 25:4-5 (TPT)

Isn’t that what we all want? In this quest for wholeness, and in pursuing God and His call on our lives, isn’t this all that we can ask and hope for? That God directs our steps so that we are walking in His will.

We need His constant wrap-around presence to guide us in our day to day. This visual of the Lord taking our hand and escorting us along our journey, all the while teaching us along the way, fully encapsulates my heart for The Whole Living Hub. It’s about people helping people do life better, but it’s more than that, because we don’t want to lead you the wrong way, we want to lead you God’s way. So, what better thing to do than pray for God to do the leading, guiding and teaching?!

Let us wrap our heart’s into His and become entwined and tethered to His heartbeat. To know what breaks it and what makes it complete. To understand and feel through His heart and see with His eyes of love, His forgiving eyes of mercy and compassion (see verse 6-7). To beat in time with His and to echo its sound. To know the Heart of God. That is our prayer.
