Everyday I have ever lived has seen unusual, imperfect, difficult, and unknown. Each day has brought the unexpected, unplanned, unseen and uncontrolled. Every single day I have had to navigate challenges, new ideas, others opinions, other people, my own imperfect self, and that's before I even walked out of my house in the morning.

Marriage is wonderful, delightful, romantic and special. It's anger, fighting, misunderstandings and making-up. It's forgiveness, understanding, togetherness and journey. It's annoyance, arrogance, forgetfulness and waiting. It's learning and growing, bad habits and good intentions. It's patience, kindness, gentleness, love and commitment. It's unconditional.

I have learnt through working in interior design that there will never be a perfect solution for a home. However, there is always a better, an even better, and often a best solution within the limitations I have to work with. True creativity after all is birthed in limitations, not in absolute freedom.

By the end of my drive, I was feeling a thousand times better about everything. I rested in the assurance that God's got this. God has got me and it will all be okay. This is just my new normal now!
